Applying for a Library Card
A Bourne Public Library card may be used at 35 CLAMS (Cape Libraries Automated Materials Sharing) libraries except Sandwich, and West Harwich.
Everyone is entitled to a Bourne Public Library CLAMS card. To apply just present a photo ID such as a driver’s license, Registry picture ID, or military ID at the circulation desk. If your identification has a P.O. or business address, you will still need to show proof of your current residence.
Children under 18 must have their applications signed by a parent or guardian.
During registration you may apply for a PIN (Personal Identification Number) which will allow you to have on-line access to your record, while insuring the confidentiality of your library information.
Your library card is free and valuable! Please report lost or stolen cards and any address changes as soon as possible. Replacement charge for a lost card is $1.00. If you forget your card and wish to charge out materials, you will be asked to show a photo ID at checkout.
Materials checked out on your card are your responsibility. For your own protection please do not lend your library card.
