What is WIC?

WIC is a nutrition program that provides healthy food, nutrition education, breastfeeding support, health care referrals, and other services free of charge to Massachusetts families who qualify. WIC stands for Women, Infants, and Children. WIC‘s goal is to help keep pregnant and breastfeeding individuals and kids under 5 healthy!  WIC is for all kinds of families: married and single parents, working or not working.  If you are a father, mother, grandparent, foster parent, or other legal guardians of a child under 5, you can apply for WIC for your child.

HEED is a collaborative network comprising diverse stakeholders committed to providing every child with the best start in life, ensuring they enter kindergarten prepared to achieve their maximum potential.
